Really Stressing Out

So last week I finally finished my application. It took a while due to sorting out family issues during the year and delaying my CFA. I currently have two nominations (ROTC and Competitive Alternative Congressional) but have yet to hear back from either Senators. I also have received a 4-year Army ROTC scholarship.

I am nervous because my class rank is iffy (I am exactly in the bottom of the top third of my class, if that makes sense). I was told my 30 composite ACT score would somewhat offset that, though. My CFA was also bad because I was only able to do 30 push-ups and 2 pull-ups. Everything else I either beat or met the average for. I was told other than that my application is very good due to my multiple sports and extra curricular activities.

How screwed am I due to my CFA?

I can't speak to your CFA scores but there's nothing you can do about it now. It is done. So control what you can control moving forward.

Good luck!

It's worth a conversation with your RC to see if he/she would let you take the CFA again. They probably will if you are a competitive candidate. If so, there are many threads in this forum about how to improve your CFA scores. Work hard and bring those scores up. Good luck :thumb:

If you are male, I don't think you are going to make it based on those CFA scores. I'd make sure you have that application for the school associated with your ROTC scholarship locked up.

I'm sorry, but who would be my RC? I know if I retake my CFA I will be able to bring up my push-ups for sure soi think a retake would help tremendously. Thanks for the advice!

Region commander, or contact your region technician. This info is provided on the admissions site. Gluck!

I recommend you also contact your local Liaison as he may be able to talk to admissions and facilitate getting it re-opened so you can take it again. He will also know or can find out if you have 'failed,' or are considered to have 'passed.'
