Virginia Senator's Service Academy Day

Highly Recommend

For those of you from Virginia, below is the link for a Service Academy Day event sponsored by Senator Mark Warner. It is in Charlottesville in late March.

Thanks for posting this, USNA1985. DS and I drove up last year.

It was very informative, highly motivational, and a little scary when you see an auditorium full of hopefuls and realize it is just the tiniest tip of the iceburg!

DS handled 99.9% of his application process by himself and probably did not hear as much "new" information as I did, but I know he still found it worthwhile. There is also an opportunity towards the end, at least last year, to speak briefly with individuals from each Academy. The time is limited and you sort of have to prioritize. DS had a great conversation with an Admissions Officer from USAFA and also both an AO and a Mid from USNA.

Take the time. Beyond the Academy Day itself, Charlottesville is beautiful, there are some great restaurants nearby for lunch, and you get to spend a day with your kid. It's a win-win!

I went last year! They also had Virginia Tech and VMI talk there!

Oh and if anyone goes go to Bagby's a really good restraunt at the end by the large chalk board!
