Hello,
I recently was told by nominating senator that I would be receiving an appointment. I am a college freshman, and at the time, had been planning on dropping physics and taking it in the summer. Would my appointment be taken away if I were to drop this class? Any info is great, thanks!

Have you already started the class? If so, why would you drop it? Having college level work in physics will make you much better prepared for taking it at USNA.

I guarantee that, no matter how hard you are working now, no matter how hard your schedule seems, it will be harder and more difficult at USNA. Unless you really expect to fail the class, I would continue it.

That said, dropping the class is unlikely to have an impact on your appointment.

USNA1985 hit the nail on the head here. But, I have read of horror stories here on the forums; having your offer of appointment retracted would be terrible. Buckle down and get it done!

Well, if you are receiving an appointment, certainly any plan to complete it this summer has been blown away. Stick with it and get 'er done! :thumb:
