to be honest
To be honest I have no idea what Im talking about. My son discussed summer training with PMS and other's in charge and he was consistently told about going to "cadet camp in Kentucky" we have no idea what that means.
He is waiting to see what is meant. The only reason I was asking now is that the University itself has great summer options that are coupled with classes than he can take in the fall (IE study Russian politics and over summer go to Russia).
CIET is mentioned in the article but it looks as if it really begins the following summer.
"Cadet Initial Entry Training, or CIET, will take place between every cadet's freshman and sophomore year. A pilot program for this summer training will be tested next summer at Fort Knox, Ky., Smith said, adding that the aim is to make CIET mandatory for all cadets beginning in 2016. "
I tried to find more in-depth information in CIET but my research skills came up lacking....
