Looks like you're doing all right so far. I can see you being 3Q. Your leadership and extracurricular looks pretty good. And academics, your GPA is a bit low. Don't worry though. As long as you perform very well on your ACT/SAT, it should make up for the GPA. West Point does care about your GPA because it shows your work over 4 years, but standardized test scores are still worth more since it's a national test. Some schools may be easier than the one you attend, so the ACT challenges all on the same level.

Boys state is huge by the way! It adds towards your WCS, so every point helps when it comes down to the final judging.

So, in my opinion, try your best to improve your GPA and do well on the ACT, plus the CFA. The CFA is only 10% of your WCS, but it makes all of the difference.

Hope that helps

Pretty much what he IcedZealot said.

My $0.02

With the Eagle Scout, NHS, Boys State, team captains, etc., you'll have a very high leadership component score. Your teacher recommendations (SOE - School Official Evaluation) go into this number also. In or about May, tell them that you're applying to USMA, and sometime over the summer (after your portal opens fully), they will be receiving emails to evaluate you. Make sure you have an email address that they will check over the summer. Don't be obsequious, but explain how important the evaluations are. Leadership is only 30% of the admission "score." So, while that Eagle Scout and Boys State are noteworthy accomplishments, they can only carry you so far in this process.

Academics is 60%. Class rank is a big part of that. Your GPA and class rank are somewhat on the low side of USMA appointees. Why is that? Do you go to a challenging school? Are you a casual student? Was there a significant event that caused you to fall off one semester/year? Admissions will evaluate by seeking answers to those types of questions.

I would STUDY FOR and take the SAT/ACT as many times as possible. I think there are only two testing date registrations (for each test) remaining this school year. IMO, you've got some work to do on standardized testing to overcome the GPA and class rank.

It all depends on who else is applying in your district.

whats a "good" GPA? for academies?

What's a good GPA for service academies?

They look more at class rank than actual GPA, as every school grades differently. So a good GPA, is whatever it takes you to move up in class rank. Hope that makes sense!

My 2 cents... GPA a bit low, class rank average...with average ACT SAT and CFA scores still pending, and depending on your district, you may need a principle nominations from MOC to get appointment... Leadership looks very good. Appointment with average scores in competitive nominated slots from MOC is a very tough road. For comparison, my DS had 4.0 UW, 4.26 W, top 5% class rank, Eagle, boys state, 690m 640eng, capt gymnastics team AP classes x 4, 2 senate noms, 1 congressional nom.... and still waiting... Don't give up... keep improving... best of luck!!!
