All of that looks really really impressive I'm speechless right now at your standing. One suggestion I may add is community service.

Change those 'H' classes to 'AP' classes IMO. Specieally in English and math.

I think your accomplishments are great!! The Boy Scout Eagle and ASPL will help a lot in the community service area. The only recommendation I have is to take the SAT at least Three times. 4 if you can. My DS has similar activities grades etc, he took the SAT 3 times and the third time his combined score increased + 110 pts reading and math and up +130 in writing. Of course, like many, we are still waiting for the BFE... But we feel my DS did all he coud.... It's in God's hands now. BTW, we are in Baltimore also and it is a very competitive state but my DS got a nomination and so did 2 of his friends! I do think the Eagle rank really helped him...especially In his interviews. He had a lot to talk about! Keep up the good work and as my screen name suggests.... Don't Give Up The Ship!

Yeah, I thought that was one of my weak points, so i'm about to start working at a food bank 1-2 times a week. Thanks for the suggestion, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I know the SAT is a big one. I've taken the PSAT for two years and I know that those are supposed to reflect your SAT scores, but I didn't know how accurate they were, so I took the SAT last weekend as a baseline for improvement. I plan on taking a few more times after taking some kind of test prep. Thanks a lot for the suggestion though. Also, I had heard that Eagle Scout was a big gold star in the application process and its nice to hear that it helped your son get a nomination, especially in Baltimore, where everyone knows about the Academy and wants to go there. Thanks for your reply.

dguts18, would you mind replying to this forum if your son gets appointed. It sounds like he's very similar to me in terms of application and I would love to know if he gets in. Thanks!
