MOC Calls?

So, are most appointees receiving MOC calls by now?

Haven't heard anything about my district, and I haven't heard anything myself.

Just so anxious and scared; I'm really hoping that a lifelong dream isn't destroyed in a few days...but if it is, there's always next year.

But really folks, if I haven't heard anything yet, is this likely bad news? And also, if my portal doesn't update on the 20th, is that also bad news?

Thanks to all, I sincerely appreciate the help of this forum!

we're all in the same boat here! I'm wondering the exact same things, but you're absolutely right! There's always next year if the worst case scenario happens. Keep the faith! :thumb:

Unless you have a TWE in your hand, you are still in the game!

All of the offers will not be handed down last week and this week. The folks on the board are very good but not super-human. They have a lot of candidates to review and a lot of slots to fill.

Look at it this way... if you are the next file to be reviewed, would you want them to rush through it?

At the time of this insightful and encouraging post, there were only 53 names on the appointee thread!

It seems that all acceptances last week came by phone call. Is the AF academy calling? My DS had a missed call from a Colorado number a couple of weeks ago; tried to call it back and got some kind of recording (wishful thinking?)

From what I know, in general USAFA notifies MOC's and allows them to do the calling. I've only heard of USAFA doing the calling first if it was something of the case where the only nomination a candidate received was presidential (or others of the sort), then the candidate's Counselor (and / or ALO?) would call.

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

So glad my DS isn't the only patiently waiting. Seems hard when you see so many on the forum get a waiver then an appointment within the week. My DS was granted a waiver back in Jan. Since then USMA also granted a waiver and offered an appointment. Not sure why USAFA is taking so long, but we are ready to hear one way or the other so he can make a decision and start making plans to drop him off at the academy he chooses!

I got one yesterday
