Hello!

It looks like I will have a C+ in AP Physics C for the second semester of my senior year. Will this hurt my appointment or my chances for reapplication?

Not for the appointment as West Point don't have your current semester grades.

For reapplication, depends on. The class rank is more important than GPA. Do you high school use all 8 semesters to determine your class rank?

If you take a Physics class in college and do better, West Point won't care too much about your C+

USMA does require second semester grades for both appointees and NWL

Agree that the academy will require your final transcript, so they will see it. Depending on other circumstances it may only raise some eyebrows on an appointment. It could hurt a reapplication unless you repeat the course in college first semester of freshman year to essentially erase it. Remember this isn't about being good enough, it's about beating your competition. But why take a chance either way? You still have plenty of time to get some extra help and raise that C+ to a B or higher. Time to knuckle down soldier.

Appointees are given their offers before second semesters grades are in. Considering palmist all appointments are offered before May, don't see how it will affect kids on the NWL.

The question was how C+ will affect one's chance for appointment or reapplication.
