Is it possible to re-apply to a service academy if you accept a scholarship to that branch's ROTC? I'm considering re-applying, but I don't think I could afford the college I am going to without using the scholarship I have been offered.

Yes it is possible to re-apply. Many do it. Fully embrace the ROTC program though, while you're there.

But having them pay for your first year of college and then jumping to an SA wouldn't bother them?

I don't know if it bothers them but many people have done it before. You say it like they're spending their money. Truth is, they are spending my money.

Dzall it is possible to apply. There goes a saying (on SAF), that you have a 0% chance if you don't apply.

Point and case. A cadet at my Battalion (in my graduating class) applied and actually got in to USMA. Although it kinda stinks because he'll commission a year later than we will, since he has to start back at square one as a freshman.
