Missed opportunity
I wish someone had asked this question (or we had asked ourselves) when our DS graduated. My husband had a presentation at his senior award assembly without any requests made by his family. So, we kinda assumed (yea, I know....) that a presentation was something handled internally. Sat through a VERY long awards assembly, waiting, waiting, waiting. Watched DS get recognized for a state university presentation, then, nothing.
We are very proud of his accomplishment and were really hoping to have it recognized among his peer group. To this day, we have parents of his classmates surprised that he is at the AFA. Recognition would have been a great recruiting tool as well, since this area has very little AF participation.
Congratulations on your appointments--enjoy your final weeks of high school!
