I received a scholarship to the Citadel on the last board. I have accepted the scholarship and requested to transfer that scholarship to Miami Universiry of Ohio. I was wonder if anyone could tell me when they usually release there decisions about transfers? Is it all at one time or do they let people know at different times? Thank you for any help!

Did you receive the scholarship offer in the mail? Did it include some additional instructions? Did it tell you that:

Transfer requests must be received by this headquarters no later than 12 April 2014. ALL decisions will be made after 12 April, with a target notification date to winners of no later than 5 May 2014. This same decision timeline applies even if you are in a College or University’s Early Decision Program. Transfers will be considered on a case by case basis. The applicant will be provided an approval or denial of the request in writing.

I think that answers you question as best it can be answered without contacting Cadet Command.

I did recieve this, I just didn't know if they let everyone know at the same time or if they release decisions after individual review. I am unable to go to Miami without the scholarship, so if they let everyone know after the 5th of May, I have to send in two deposits.

I recommend you do a couple things if you have a tight timeline. First off, contact the ROO at the school you are trying to transfer to. They might be able to expedite, or give you some advice. The other is to contact Cadet Command and ask for a status and explain your situation. I would also suggest you talk to the admissions folks at the two schools and see if they can extend the deadline for deposit for you. Or you can keep asking random strangers on discussion boards. We'll do our best to give you our advice based on conjecture and speculation:)

I have a foreign grad student working in my lab right now who missed a deposit deadline due to similar financial circumstances. I called his financial aid advisor and they waived the deposit. If you've applied to Miami for financial aid, call the admission office or the financial aid office and tell them your predicament. They may be able to waive the deposit for you.
