For Lineinthesand

That made me want to cry…..

Thanks for posting that. How cool!

I was actually skating tonight…. for fun. Found out earlier today I tore my right shoulder, but should be minor enough not to need surgery. Guess I wanted to match my torn left shoulder I did have surgery for. Both compliments of hockey! Oh, I won't even go into my back or broken rib…

What a sport! :thumb:

yeah, quite a sport. Sorry about your injury-glad you could play through.

DS sent to bethesda for puck to the face a few months back.

I went to Walter Reed for my first MRI. Horrible job. "Nope, nothing wrong." That was after three years of military medicine saying "it's bruised".

A doctor who worked with my dad took 30 seconds, told me he throught it was a tear, and what kind of MRI I needed. I went back to CGHQ, asked the clinic to refer my out for a private MRI, and had my surgery through the private sector too.

Left shoulder feels fine now.

Right shoulder, eh! I'll live.

I almost took a slap shot to the face a few years ago without a cage.... next game (and every game since) the cage is back. And as I was reminded with another slap shot a few weeks ago, cups are important too. :thumb:

HAHAHA, I broke my rib on the first shift, played the rest of the game, told my dad and got a real ear full (he's an ER doc, and I wasn't aware how dangerous a broken rib could be.... especially if you keep having contact).

But I did have a hat trick in my last game, so maybe my shoulder is "Rookie of the Year (movie)" worthy.
