Just curious if anyone else is has a Selection Status of "No decision has been made on your application."

My DS's app was fully completed by late August 2013. I am beginning to think there is a SNAFU of some kind.

More curiosity at this point as plan A came through.

Same here. However, I'm not worried because I got an army one.

NROTC 4 Year Scholarship Notification today at noon est

DS Received the congratulatory email and document for 4-year NROTC at VMI (5th choice, but a good one!). He has received his last civilian hair-cut.

Portal updated to reflect a "sorry, no scholarship" status today. Disappointed but moving onto plan B. Congrats to the winners and good luck to those still waiting!

Sorry to hear that, Bert. Best of luck with plan B.

DS awarded 4 yr NROTC scholarship to Duke today (1st choice). Unfortunately, he was not admitted to Duke. Wait listed at other 3 OOS schools and accepted IS. First choice would be to use the scholarship at one of the OOS wait listed schools. Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?

Still waiting

My son received an appointment to NAPS, but has been waiting to hear from NROTC. Status still says "No decision has been made on your application" First choice is Ohio State at this point, but have other options that need acceptance/decline on scholarships, frustrating wait. Anyone have any experience, will we know by April 15?

drp sorry you are still in limbo. My advice would be to contact the NROTC Lt. at OSU and see if they have any scholarship vacancies. When we were up at Univ. of Wisconsin the Lt. told us that their scholarships had all been given out (my son was one of them). Someone had called that week looking to transfer their scholarship to UW. So maybe OSU knows something that you don't.

Good luck.

Thanks so much for responding. We visited OSU a couple of weeks ago, and the LT there said that they had 6 scholarship openings, and he had been checking regularly on my son's status. Even the state ROTC coordinator has been checking, and we have a standing "joke" between the 3 of us that whoever finds out first tells the others. Not getting into the academy was a tough blow, but this is a great opportunity if it comes through. I guess the silver lining is that he hasn't been turned down yet.

Still waiting

Is there anyone still waiting? The constant "No decision has been made on your application" is frustrating considering that kids need to notify colleges by May 1 along with accepting or denying scholarship opportunities at multiple schools.

Have folks who haven't heard checked the spam folder in their email? Just guessing and suggesting. Hope positive news is yet to come and that plan B is firmly in place and you're ready to pull the trigger on it if necessary. Good luck! :thumb:

Hopefully for everyone waiting, the news comes soon. Plan B is this, Plan A was the Academy, and B & C have kind of melded together, but it'd be nice to know something. Deadlines on scholarships and paying acceptance fees are getting closer by the day.
