I just got my TWE but am still hopeful on the Prep School at USAFA. Do any of you mind sharing your stats? I was told by my admissions officer it would be a long shot because there are few slots left and my ALO told me that my scores are over-qualified for USAFAPS. Still hoping.

That's how I was! I thought all hope was lost for the rest of April.. But at the beginning of May I was amongst the first wave of Falcon Foundation scholarship earners!! Keep your head up.

About a week ago I was told I hadn't received an appointment to USAFA. But just a few days later I got a call from my USAFA counselor that I had been awarded a Falcon Foundation Scholarship!

I sent in my application for Northwestern Prep and got my acceptance email this morning :)

These are my stats:

Best of luck!

Does anyone know if you need to reapply for nomination from congress if you attend the prep school?

Yes, it is a requirement. Most will know that you are at the Prep School and give you the same nomination you got the first time around.

You most likely need to fill out their nomination application packet again.

This is correct. You will fill out your nomination application again, and even if you attend a prep in another state, you will interview with your home state MOC. Many reapplicants will be out of state and will conduct their interview by phone, although some, like my DS, fly home to be there in person. As was stated by another poster, it is a good idea to do a practice interview with your MOC board, before the REAL one. Our DS's prep school put them through a practice "murder board" to prepare them for the interview.

When filling out the application do you provide information from highschool or prep school?

We used Prep school Info this year, including the letters of recommendation. They walk you through it once you get here though.
