I'll be starting AFROTC in the fall and I was wondering, since my PFA was my weakest point, what I should focus on. I'm already running every day, but I wasn't sure if I should work on calisthenics and push ups and sit ups or put my attention to cardio and free weight? Any input or suggestions?

My DS uses workouts found through here: http://www.military.com/fitness-center/military-fitness/pt-workouts/archive

I think you should do it all, you have time. Run, lift, and do sit-ups and push-ups. There are some great apps that someone on here suggested and my son downloaded, 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups are two that he loves. They just take a few minutes a day. We installed a pull-up bar a few years ago and both my boys use it every time they walk by it :) You don't have to devote hours a day, every little bit helps. Good luck!

I would start by focusing on the PFA exercises (run, pushups and situps). Once you get comfortable with those then maybe incorporate other exercises such as lifting, swimming, boxing....etc. in your normal routine. Try and take a couple mock PFAs over the summer to see where you are and how you are progressing. Running is a huge portion of the score so start cranking the miles out over the summer.
