I have been trying to find out more about this bit haven't been able to find anything. Are the showers at WP completely open or are there stalls? I am not too concerned, I just would like to know so there aren't any surprises. Thanks!

Men's are open, women's are closed. That's how it was when I visited last year.

Rub a dub dub...

The upper class cadet hose down the next class out in The Plain. Just for ten minutes. Thats why the grass is so green!

No just kidding!!! Its gender separated, but gang showers. You must wear a robe from your room to the bathroom and back. The dorm assignments are such that you don't cross paths with the other gender.

Its very professional and discreet.

Its not anything like the movie Starship Troopers, The Federation-Would you like to learn more?

That's where I'm confused because an earlier post said separated showers for women...

There were stalls in one area, to be honest I could be very wrong because I was only there for an overnight and a camp.

One of those nice things about the barracks is that they are all different based on when they were constructed and what renovations they've had - it adds to the character of the place. Finding one person on this forum that can speak with authority regarding every possible situation you will find in the barracks is impossible - you get mainly anecdotes from their personal experiences - what they saw on their visit, or when they were a Cadet, or where they live now as a Cadet. And that doesn't even cover the living/shower condition out a Camp Buckner which you may do once or twice if you are cadre. In any case, it's a step up from the field conditions for most over the past 10+ years.

Some barracks have separate showers others do not. The vast majority of the showers will be like a shower room with 6-10 shower heads around the room. However in certain barracks (Grant or Scott) there are individual showers due to the way the barracks were constructed.

Expect to shower with other people in your time there.

Obviously, men shower with men and women with women.
