For all appointees who have completed their appointee kits, the BCT Squadron assignments are now showing on the portal.

Appointees who are done can now also print their Authorization to Travel letter.

Hellcats as well. Is the late report time good or bad? Any word on CS-35 through 40?

DS reports at 7:30am... Barbarians...

I wonder how the appointees are selected for squadrons...is it random?

I would recommend not asking for opinions of the squadron you'll be going in to. Dynamics within the squad change with the leadership. Plus, the two-digs all being new might change some squadron's atmospheres. Going in with a preexisting opinion could set you up for some heartbreak and disappointment if it turns out different from that. Your squad is all about what you and your fellow doolies make it.

From what I can tell, a 0645 time means "check on entry".

I had wondered how they were going to do that. Seems that they'll take care of all the appointees with waivers right up front.

Late time is dependent on your BCT squadron. Aggressors is bright and early, Barbarians next, etc. Your late report time is only because Hellcats is the last BCT squadron.

As for your BCT flight (which directly corresponds to your Academic year squadron) you won't find out until you arrive at In-processing. Like some posters have already said, its tough to say how those squadrons are climate wise because they change as the people change. As each squad gets new juniors and obviously new freshman, the atmosphere adjusts.

What do yo mean "check on entry?" My DS is reporting at 0645 and has no waivers.

Yep I got barbarians at 730

Oh, I made an uneducated guess. :frown: The trend seemed to point to appointees with waivers showing up at 6:45 regardless of squadron

Is your son assigned to Aggressors? They're the first group, so 0645 makes sense.

Aggressors report at 0645, and so do all "Check on Entry" appointees. There are also a handful of appointees that need to report early because of positive TB tests.

DD is Aggressors too. She wanted Cobras, but also said Hellcats was more her personality...lol. Oh well. I was hoping for a later report time but her brother said early is better, like ripping off a band-aid :)

Academic year squadron? I don't understand what is meant by that, could someone please explain? Thank you in advance.
