Hey everyone, I was a former AFROTC cadet that was cut from field training this year so I decided to switch to AROTC. Initially I planned on going to LTC to catch up on all of the stuff I missed in the past 2 years of AROTC, but I broke my arm and cannot go to LTC. I need some in depth help on catching up to all of the other cadets so I can be competitive enough to get AD next year.

Can someone tell me in depth what materials are covered during LTC or the first 2 years of AROTC and where I could get reading materials and other stuffs to catch up?

I've tried google searching and pretty much all of the cadre are at Ft Knox or left for their next assignment.

I did the two year AROTC program after switching from AFROTC without doing LTC and still got AD and my first branch choice. Id you have a high GPA (like 3.4 or above) a good PT score, and put 100% effort into rotc you should be fine. Ask your cadre if you can do LDAC after your senior year, making you an end of camp commission, that'll give you plenty of time to prepare. PM me if you have any concerns you wanna talk about off line :)

That's fine and all, but last year FT acceptance rate was 90% while this year it was 55% and AD acceptance has been going down. My GPA is currently at a 2.9 due to pre-med so I need every bit of help I can.

AD will be more competitive in the coming years. The advice to check into LDAC after your senior year is good, you'll have to talk to your cadre about this. The best advice is to work hard on your academics next year, try and bring your GPA up as much as you can, a 2.9 is going to make it tough to make AD.
