What a small world!

DD is off on vacation prior to reporting to Active Duty Army next week so I get to meet the movers for the HHG move.

The crew that came to crate a table prior to the movers arriving includes a Virginia Tech Army ROTC cadet.

Yep, it is a small world...look at the Fencer and Pima thread of life after the academy.

The funniest small world is fencers DS was never a member on here, but his GF (now wife ) was, she told us this story over dinner at UPT winging.

She was on this forum for a while, and then she started to date this guy. All of the sudden she starts putting two + two together. How many twins could there be in the class of 2012 that fenced and were from Steeler Nation? :eek:

We were all laughing so hard we were crying when she said all of the sudden I had to think did I ever post anything that ticked her off? Imagine talking, albeit on an open forum for a year or so before you ever meet your future DH.

Wait until he gets a few tours under his belt and the world becomes even smaller. You basically can play the game of 6 degrees from cadet AROTC parent with anyone in your specialty.

Off topic, it also changes from this is a small world to...did you hear who got married, promoted, and finally to retired. The small world disappears because you are accustomed to living in a small world.

Can you imagine talking for a year or more on an open forum...to the person who will become your mother-in-law?

:eek::tank:

Actually, it turned out we never "argued" here, nor in real life, so all is good.

*Mostly because I have taken to practicing PIMA's Sage Advice for Mothers-in-law: shut up and color.
