What limitations are there on what doolies can and can't have in their rooms? Would a doolie be able to have a projector rather than a 24 inch monitor? Thanks!

make sure your doolie knows what s/he is allowed to have in their squadron. Sometimes there are rules about those things.

Here's what we did for years: Get the biggest FLAT RATE box from your post office and really STUFF IT FULL of whatever your cadet wants. Then buy candy, gum, pens, whatever, and use that as stuffing. Might I suggest chemical hand/foot warmers for fall delivery? STUFF THAT BOX. I think the weight limit is something like 70 pounds! Remember to take things out of their original boxes (cheezits come to mind here), since the foil/wax paper container takes up far less space. We stuffed tuna packets into our kids' boxes since they often missed dinner because of fencing practice.

STUFF THAT BABY TO THE BRIM!

DS said that Nutella was the new bullion with upperclassmen back in 2011-2012. Ask your cadet what their squadron upperclassmen want for 'smokers'.

Haha! When I went to USAFA for Summer Seminar there was Nutella at every table. I wonder if that was a result of the 2011-2012 fad :)

I asked my son what the "smoker" was for this year, and told him the Nutella story, he said that every table had Nutella on it. When he tells me what the fad is this year, I'll try to remember to share here. :thumb:

If you are using Amazon for anything, for yourself, your cadet, etc, please consider supporting the class of 2016 spirit mission by using this link: http://http://www.amazon.com/?&tag=usafa2016-20&camp=212361&creative=392013&linkCode=wsw&
The price is the same but Amazon donates 6% to our spirit mission to help support the class for things like the Rando fund, MWR donations and commemorations of the class milestones.
Feel free to pass it on to friends and family.

Things aren't always what they seem. My DS just completed BCT and when I asked him if he was enjoying the Nutella (because he loves it) he replied that the cadre for his squadron would not let them eat Nutella or desserts.
