Heading out to take DS to Norwich tomorrow. The bags are packed, pretty much. Maps are printed, schedules made. Food for the road is ready for the coolers....
Just sort of a strange feeling to know that in about 36 hours he is embarking on a journey that will most likely change him completely! I am excited and nervous for him, as he would never ever admit that he is either one!
We will be returning home to an empty house, which I am NOT excited for, only nervous! Good luck to everyone else going through the same thing either at Norwich, or someplace else!

I remember that feeling. Get ready for limited contact with him for the next few months. They are really locked down those first few months. Its good a thing. The restricted time is also an opportunity to study and get good grades. It will go fast and plan to be there for Parents Weekend where you can spend a lot of time with him.

Best Wishes

Thanks Norwich Dad! Already have reservations for a house for Parent's weekend. I am very thankful for his lack of use of his phone....maybe he will lose the "texting" callouses on his fingers!!!!

Best wishes for your son's success. If you ever have time for an excursion, the Burlington/Lake Champlain area is a great place to visit.

Have a safe trip.

If you have any questions about anything feel free to ask me! I will be a sophomore (second year cadet) this year at Norwich.

Good luck to you and DS! Enjoy Vermont, it is lovely this time of year.
