SMC's listed in top 50 "Most Fit" schools of 2014

USMA and USNA are #2 and #3 respectively, yet USAFA, USCGA, and USMMA are not even in the top 50. That seems odd.

For sure. If the author thinks otherwise they might want to try doing the dreaded Assault Course stations at 7,000 ft altitude for hours at a time...

Not a huge surprise since physical fitness is a significant aspect of their programs, but nice to see all SMC's making the "top 15" of the top 50 schools. Academies are also included and way to go cadets, administrators, staff, and parents!

No surprise with this. These schools produce Lean, Mean, Fighting Machines.

Ridiculous

This list is ridiculous--USAFA is not even on the list. By the way, it has nothing to do with student body fitness levels, active times made their "rankings" based on "diet and access to fitness facilities." Obviously they could not PT test the civilian students at Norwich, Citadel, or A&M, but this list is definitely lacking... and to exclude USAFA and others... is plain ridiculous.

I absolutely agree with you. You have to laugh at some of these stories. But remember the source of the story is the "Active Times" just another website amoung millions. Anything on the internet does not mean a story is true. Belonging to any college does not entitle you to anything. It is what you do at that college that matters.
