Good my act score is 26 composite, rated top 15% in nation, i took both early on, did horrible on the sat, but extraordinary on the act i suggest taking both. Been accepted to all my colleges including nuke engineering at oregon state. I do jrotc, and have held various leadership positions, big ones leaving a good reputation, hardworking, i have ap classes, and take extra classes, along with cross country, wrestling, and swim. Hows your DS? good luck!!!! Still waiting on descision, i had mine turned in late august, but it wasnt fully sent to selection place til 12 sep, recruiter told me i would most likely get it? whats your ds major? i heard applying to smaller less popular units increases chances since they try to balance out units.

hoping

keeping my fingers crossed that we will hear word soon, if we dont get selected first board, then it gets rolled over to the next one and so on til may. I picked special warfare officer as my first choice, then naval aviator as 2nd, and sub as 3rd, but thinking about surface warfare too. i know they only take like 30, usually less to attend buds, officer wise. So have back up plans. I heard if youre really smart they force you to go nuke. since navy is big on it now

I got a 4-year NROTC scholarship two weeks ago. I was deemed an ISR applicant and was given the scholarship immediately after my interview with the XO. My app has been forwarded to the board for school selection. Good luck to everyone else! Also, thank you very much to SA forums for all the help and support.

I agree with jcleppe. Sorry, but 26 super score composite is probably low for NROTC. I know for AFROTC the median is closer to 30 composite, and if the E is 24 it is deemed not competitive.

Try to do a walk on and there should be at least one more that you can still sign up for. Or maybe look to see if you drive 30 minutes more there is a seat available. You will have to pay the late fee, but at least you will have a seat.

I would also suggest that since this is an anonymous forum you may want to consider changing your moniker unless your name isn't Alex j Valencia. Believe it or not there are many PMSs that lurk on this site, and you don't want them to be watching you here. Not saying you will do or say something stupid, but GForbid you do at least you still have the anomity if your moniker is not easy to decipher.

i was gonna but it is too late to register for it again in my area

According the ACT site, 3 October (today) is the last day to sign up for ACTs (with a late fee). My son is signing up today. Even if you miss the deadline, the ACT allows you to do Standby Testing. I guess that's if there are people who are registered but don't show up.

worst comes to worst i will go in as a program student but very excited to join the nrotc program!!!
