CFA with an LOA?

I received an LOA last month stating that I will for sure get an appointment if I get a nom and am medically qualified, but also there was the stipulation that I turn in all of my paperwork by November 3rd, including the CFA.

As of right now, I should definitely pass my test next week, but just in case I have a bad day or something, will a failed CFA put me out of the running altogether? I'm just not sure about he rules for the LOA deadline...

Thanks for your help.

You must pass the CFA (which means all the events) to become fully qualified. You must be fully qualified to receive an appointment, even if you have an LOA.

I understand that, but will they let me retake even after the deadline?

I don't know about the deadline, but if the SA really wants you and you score low / close to the minimum on one part of the CFA, you may be asked to retake it and submit new scores. If you have an LOA, I would read that as they really want you.

I may sound like a mom here, but why are you borrowing trouble? You are a healthy young person--presumably an athlete or you would not be someone who would seek out a place as physically rigorous as West Point. If you are practicing the events and running pretty often, you will be fine.
