I've read somewhere in the forums that USMA does not send out 3Q letters anymore. However, I received one this morning via the portal. I'm not sure if this is normal for the c/o 2019 and if it gives my app a boost in any way. Does anyone have any input? :)

maybe they don't send paper copies since that is costly.

My DS also received a 3Q letter today. Good to get it. It encouraged my DS. But he knows it will be a long process.

I have had my dodmerb,CFA, and academics all completed. Should I be receiving a 3Q in my portal soon? I think it might be a good things to inform the interviewers of during my interviewers for nomination.

I would not be concerned that you don't have it. The interviewers know that USMA will make the final determination if you are 3Q, and having it in hand will not affect their opinion of whether you should get a nomination. They are looking at you to see if you will make a good officer, not if you have a letter from USMA.

Lots of interviews happen before any 3Q letters go out. For example medical waivers are pursued by admissions into Jan, Feb, and March. Last year a cadet in our area even had a waiver approved as late as May. These people were not "3Q" during their nomination interview - but they still still got appointments.

So be yourself, and answer their questions thoughtfully and honestly.
