In October I received my Letter of Assurance for West Point. While applying, I had a 4.1 GPA, 3.7 unweighted. I am required to send in my first trimester grades, which will be finalized in a week. In my Letter of Assurance, it says "I have reserved a cadetship for you contingent upon receipt of a nomination, medical qualification and continued excellent work in school."

Unfortunately, I have let my grades slip quite a bit this trimester, going from mostly A's to mostly B's and even (possibly) a C. Does anyone know if this will be enough for them to withdraw my letter of assurance??? Thanks in advance for your help!

They will let B's slide, and will probably let one C go, but no more. Since you are near the end of the trimester, focus and ace your exams, and hopefully you can bring that C up. From past CCs posting on here, it seems that one C will definitely get some notice from West Point, but not to the point that they rescind your LOA, especially if you challenged yourself senior year rather than taking an easy schedule. 845something, if I have his/her name correct, will definitely have the best advice in this situation I believe.

How were you notified that you had to send in your trimester grades?
Not sure where this is explicitly stated, but every applicant (whether it be for service academies or civilian colleges) must send in their grades for the remaining portion of their school year after applying. Usually it is done automatically using the information you submitted to send your transcripts initially.
