I'm a 2019 USNA hopeful with an LOA with only a nomination missing. I've applied for both senators, my MOC, and VP. These forums have been very helpful in my application process.

Welcome! Best of luck as you move forward. I remember my son getting those IL nom letters...what a great feeling! He didn't land at USNA but loves NROTC and his college so it's all good.

Good luck fellow "Land of Lincoln" resident.
some areas are more competitive than others w/regards to a nom but an LOA in hand should help. my son brought a packet with him to his MOC interview, with the front page his LOA and he handed a packet to each person on the panel. BTW you can not get a nom from Durbin AND Kirk (it will only be Durbin OR Kirk) good luck!

Over the summer attend the Northern Illinois Info session for those admitted. You get taken into separate room where it is only current Mids and about-to-be-plebes and they sincerely answer all of your questions and provide you with real personal tips and suggestions to help you out.
