Is it possible to not receive an appointment even though a candidate is nominated, has received an LOE, and is qualified (academically, physically, and medically)?
 
Yes. Another user on here was denied admission last year with an LOE and full Q, but didn't get accepted. This year he got an LOA. I'm really anxious too, it's hard to hear, but just keep updating your file. One of the reasons this process is so hard is to weed out the ones who aren't patient and willing to go with the flow. It will be here before you know it and if you have to apply one or two more years if driven to do so.

Oh Yesssss….

You can have a nom and be 3Q'd with a LOE and not be selected. However, you can still increase your WCS by increasing you ACT/SAT test scores. I think there is one more opportunity to take these test before the application process closes next month. Also increase your high school ranking and grades.

Again work on Plan B!! Ask yourself if I'm not selected what next? Will I try again next year? Should I attend a prep school? What other college can I attend? Should I look at ROTC programs?

My RC told me that the next ACT in mid February is too late sadly. So there is almost nothing any of is can do to improve our files which sucks

Major Turner at West Point mentioned in a meeting that they would super score ACT combined with SAT. Has anyone else heard that?

Yes they will do that. So if the next ACT dates don't work then perhaps the next SAT dates will work.
