If I am the only nominee from a congressional district is that the same as a principal nomination where if I am 3Q'd then its an automatic appointment? I can't imagine this to be true but I thought the folks here would know. I am pretty sure I live in a district where I am the only nominee but as always I am not sure. Just thought I'd ask if this is the case. Thanks!

Why do you believe you are the only one?

Just trying to follow.

I have the nomination from the senator but i had an interview with the congressman's personal the other day. When i applied last year I was told me and a friend of mine were the only ones that applied from that district. I'm just taking a guess based off demographics as well. Like i said i doubt I'm the only one. I'm just curious

One .. Last year was last year...don't assume this year is the same. Call the office and ask...how many did they nominate on the slate?
~ As a C100 AFROTC you are sitting prettier this year because you will now have a ROTC nomination too.
~~ if it is the same as last year with only two on the slate, you still have to beat out the other candidate

Two....meant with kindness, understanding your generation is texting generation, but WOW the amount of grammatical errors in your post were scary to me.

Just saying when you get to USAFA ... personal and personnel will matter in your term papers.
~ comma before but
~ I is I not i .

Pima thank you so much as always! I was typing that response on my phone and for whatever reason auto-correct wasn't working properly. I apologize as it's not my normal grammar level.

Thank you for answering what would have been my next question in your second post. I was wondering if it would be appropriate to inquire to the MOC's office on the number of applicants and/or nominations given. It is just a big waiting game. Any news or information on where I am at in terms of being accepted is appreciated.

Like I said I don't know how many people applied or are being nominated by this MOC, but I was wondering what would happen if my original thought was the case.

If I understand correctly, and you are truly the only one nominated on the slate, then YES you will get appointed if you are 3Q'd. I would recommend getting familiar with how your MOC's nominate (principal, ranked, unranked, etc) and even inquire on where your nomination stands.

Most MOC offices are pretty transparent in the sense that they will try to help you and inform you as much as possible. However, congrats on getting the nomination ~ regardless of where you stand, you should continue improving all aspects of your application and TRY your best to be patient.
