Most of those applying probably have a red x next to the transcript box on the summary page. I assume USMA sends an email to the school official (as was done for the first 6 semesters) to send the transcript with the 7th semester grades. I'll follow-up with my school to make sure the USMA email (I assume they send an email) does not get lost in SPAM. Does anyone have any other advice/comment on what I should do to make sure they (the transcripts) get to USMA? Thanks.
 
Request an official transcript from your school and send the official transcript to USMA personally or you can have your school send off the transcript themselves. It will get there just as long as it doesn't get lost in the mail (unlikely).

Thanks. My school does not give official transcripts to students directly (only sends to institutions) but I did give them a registered , pre-stamped envelope for my nomination application and that worked. The transcript they sent to MOC never made it.

Ideally my school gets the email and does whatever they did last time for the first 6 semesters. It must have been online because right after they found the USMA email they acted on it and the transcript box went green "6".
 
I don't think they send an email for the 7th semester transcript. Last year I just had my school send it off when it was available.
 
This is an issue every year. It is your responsibility as a candidate to ensure your school sends the 7th semester transcript. USMA does not request it directly, though you may get an email from your RC telling you that you need to send it in.
 
They sent me envelopes that are all ready addressed to admissions with free postage for the purpose of sending in my 7th semester transcripts.
 
I think (I need to check into this) my school uses a program called Parchment to digitally send transcripts to institutions. Does anyone know if USMA can receive digital transcripts?

Yes, my DS's high school used Parchment and USMA (and the other SAs) received his transcript with no problem. In fact, I don't think we had to pay for the ones sent to SAs vs. the ones sent to civilian colleges, but that is probably something set up through the high school as a courtesy.
 
I dont think they email for 7th semester. I think the signature on the transcript is enough confirmation.

I sent my transcripts yesterday via Parchment. There was no email me reminding me, but I did see the red X on my profile.
 
I received a Qualified letter , but now I, too, need to submit a 7th transcript. My transcript will not be available until later this month since my school's 1st semester is not over yet, and I assume it will take some time for the admissions to receive it once my counselor sends it. But since I'm qualified, will the admissions team still look at my file or will they put it on hold until the 7th transcript is received?

I'm not sure what you think "continue to look at... or put it on hold" means. I'm no expert I suppose, but I wouldn't expect anyone to look at it at all until the slate(s) you are nominated on are submitted. Further, in many if not all cases, they probably won't look at it until everyone on the slate has completed their application. They certainly can't, logically, take any kind of action until both these things happen (unless you have a principal nom or an LOA). In any case you need to get that 7th semester transcript in and show that your not having academic difficulties to this point in time.
 
West Point must receive 7th semester transcripts by 28 FEB (File completion deadline).
If they don't receive your transcript by then, then your file is not complete and you risk your file being closed.

crazyboy1179 - You are fully qualified (3Q'd) with a nom - Congrats! But, your file can not go before the admissions committee for a vote of appointment until they receive your 7th semester transcripts. You have until end of FEB to get it in. Just have your counselor send it as soon as it is available and you should be fine.
 
7th semester was sent Jan. 5th. Still hasnt shown up in my portal. How long does it normally take?

My DS contacted his regional commander. She advised him to have his counselor sign and directly email the 7th semester grades to her.

Kansaskid - Do you recall how long it took for the transcript to show up in your portal after sending it via parchment?
