My DS got:
40 pushups
50 sit ups
6:05 mile.
His test was administered by the ROO at the college he hopes to attend. After he came home from taking the test, he told us that they had a funny way of counting. He said they would repeat some of the counts. Hahaha! I told him his form must have been off on those reps.

His test was administered by the ROO at the college he hopes to attend. It was at 3pm in the afternoon in Texas in late July at the football stadium. Very hot. 100+ (not that it helps his score any) After he came home from taking the test, he told us that they had a funny way of counting. He said they would repeat some of the counts. Hahaha! I told him his form must have been off on those reps.
Your son was lucky to get a taste of what every APFT that he takes will be like, this will help prepare him for ROTC when it starts. Your son's scores are more in line with APFT scores. So many new cadets start ROTC after having high numbers in PU and SU's during their PFT, only to fail their first APFT because of form. Some new cadets boast 70 to 80 PU's in one minute of the PFT, but fail to do the minimum in 2 minutes of the APFT because of form.
Form is everything.
