Does anyone know when the Army will release the duty stations for this year's commissioning class (MSIV's)? I hear it may be at the end of this month, or beginning of next. Are duty stations still based on the OML list, like branching was? Thanks for any responses from those that may be in the know.

You will receive your duty station in your Request for Orders along with your BOLC date. This excludes branches for which BOLC is a PCS move, like IN. They receive their duty stations at some point during BOLC. How are the slots doled out? Those who signed a post ADSO get considered and if the request can be supported, off they go. Otherwise, learn to get used to the ever-nebulous phrase "needs of the Army."

I'm very aware of the phase, "needs of the Army," having been an enlisted medic for 10 years now, haha. I only ask the original question because I KNOW the MSIV's last year found out their duty station during the spring semester of school, not at BOLC, but I just couldn't remember the exact timeframe. Thanks for the reply though.

I don't think you'll see an exact release date, more than likely you'll just start seeing people's orders trickle in with the post details. If you're a May grad, you may be waiting for a few more weeks as the December grads are still getting straightened out. My BOLC is a PCS move, but I was told my Post ADSO was approved, I just don't know which one yet.

The RFO is generated by the branch manager at HRC. When branch decreeth, thou shalt knoweth. You will receive an email to your AKO account notifying you an RFO has been generated. Then you go to the myRFO or whatever it's called link on the HRC tools website. You need a CAC for all that, so I hope they give Cadets CACs now. If not, then you wait for your admin tech to tell you when and where you're going.

The Cadets who knew in the Spring either attended BOLCs that were not PCS moves or ADSO'd for post. Using a little googlefu you can find past Cadets sharing the same information I just told you.
