Has anyone received a Qualified Not Selected notification/letter? Do you know if they will do this and when they will notify those who are QNS?

You likely will not see a QNS letter until late April or May after the class is settled. A couple of years ago my DS did not receive a QNS letter from USNA until after Memorial Day.

Ok so I know for a fact that there are at least 3 RA in my district. How does this affect the rest of the nominees? My FFR did tell me that it was one of the most competitive in the country.

Let's say you were a National Merit Scholar, had a 2350 on your SAT, were captain on your wrestling and cross country teams (where you won state), attended Boys State, you were President of your senior class, and you nearly maxed out all phases of the CFT.

Are you guaranteed admission? No.
Are you competitive? Absolutely.

What benefit is that to you? You should be high on the NWL where they will take the top 150 by WCS if for some reason another candidate in your district had similar credentials but also happened to win the appointment from that slate (maybe because she was a Primary Nominee).

The feedback from your FFR should encourage you. You just need to remain patient! You'll know soon enough.

Oh, and BTW, RA might be offered NAPS rather than a direct admit. NAPS appointments are not considered to fill an MOC slate (until the NAPSTER gains regular admission, where they must have a nomination and they potentially could be charged against the MOC).

I received a phone call from my FFR stating that I probably wouldn't be getting in and to explore other options and "prepare to reapply". After emailing my RC, I still have a slim chance.

When did you receive this call?
