My son received a Congressional Nomination in late December. It is still not showing in his portal. I know the congressmen had until 1/31 to notify, so I wasn't worried. Now I am.

I would call admissions.... they may be flooded with them at this time.... I was reading posts from last year and some people did not see theirs until end of first week in February or beginning of second...
maybe call the MOC office also to make sure.. I am just writing all the things I know I'd be doing... I'm no expert

Agree admissions is flooded and if he didn't submit the slate until 1/31 it might take a few more days or even weeks. I would probably be patient this week and if nothing has posted contact admissions.

Please call and followup on anything you think is missing. I can't tell you the number of things this Mom has had to assist with through conversations with very busy admissions staff at three different academies. It is surprising when they aren't seeming to be that organized but I also can't imagine the volume of what they have on their hands. However, the importance to our DS and DD's can't be measured, so call! :)

Or even better - have DS/DD call. Anything we do for our kids (who are or will be adults soon) that they could have done for themselves - robs them of a learning experience.

Yes absolutely agree! DS is at prep school in middle of nowhere with spotty cell service. This has required more parental involvement than usual for phone calls. But good advice "country".

A follow-up to the counselor assigned to you; phone call, etc., isn't out of line however...as several said: MOC's were not required to submit their nominations until January 31st. With the backlog of work at USAFA right now and the fact that they've had some severe weather and down-days...it's not totally out of line for this to take a while.

I had to follow up with my admissions counselor about my nomination and I am glad I did. I have a very common last name and it was assigned to someone else in their system who lives in my state. I also had to follow up with DoDMERB and clear up my remedials. They should have been corrected on 10/1 and if I had not followed up in November they never would have been corrected.
