DS file is complete. 7th semester transcript showing, everything is green. He has 2 nominations. His Medical still says no action.

With the deadline looming we are concerned. He sent an email, but has heard nothing.

Thoughts on what to do?
 
No, his medical status just changed. He has emailed them several times about it. We know it is late, that is why he has been contacting them. I understand it may not be done in time.
 
There's time. Make the appointments as soon as possible. As long as there is nothing to DQ him and the contracted doctors send in there forms right away, it should move through the system well before the med qualification deadline (usually mid-April)

I thought he had to be done by Feb 28.
 
Even if there is nothing wrong and you did the appointments today, I doubt the results would post by 28 Feb.

It usually takes a couple days after the status change in order to actually get into DoDMETS to see who the providers are. If you wait for a letter, it'll be the end of February before you even know who to schedule the appointments with. Contact them right away - they have a regular practice usually and that means other patients are filling up their schedule as well (not like it's not cold/flu/measles season). Once complete, you need to watch DoDMETS to make sure that the doctors are submitting their portions in a timely manner.
 
Will get appointments asap. Not sure why it took so long for his medical status to change. He is also going for AROTC scholarship and will need the exam for that if he wins one so, we will press on.

Maybe the medical doesn't have to be done by Feb 28. I don't know. For some reason that date is in my head.
