I'm currently an applicant for Westpoint's SLE. Do I need to send my SAT scores from collegeboard to Westpoint? I do not think they can verify my scores if collegeboard does not send them but I've heard that there was a fee involved. I've been updating my SAT scores on the candidate portal but obviously they haven't been appearing on my profile because Westpoint needs an official copy apparently (the scores are on file, however). Will Westpoint just believe that the scores i've put in are accurate or must I send them my scores? I have no problem financially...I just don't want to waste money if I don't need to.

As I recall, for SLE I only put in my PSAT scores, because by January 15, 2014, which is when I applied, I only had taken the PSAT. I didn't need to send a "score report" as the College Board calls them.

However, official score report(s) must be sent to USMA for the regular application for admission, but this will be down the road.

Appointed -Class of 2019

I put in my PSAT scores as well and they appear on my profile but I want to know if Westpoint will consider my SAT scores for the SLE program...My SAT scores are significantly higher than my PSAT scores...

You can put both can't you? I actually have the opposite problem of you. I submitted my SLE application yesterday before I received my SAT results(They were released this morning) so I left the SAT part blank. My SAT score ended up being 5 points lower than my PSAT score, so I'm not sure if they will consider my SAT scores either even though I didn't put them on the application.

You self-report your scores for the SLE application. They will look at PSAT, SAT or ACT. Official Scores need to be on file for your "official" candidate file. I would spend the money to have the official scores sent in, as you're going to want them to have them if you're serious about applying next year.

Is it too early to start sending in official scores for C/O 2016?

No, it's not too early. When my kids' portals opened up, they had all the test scores in there that they had originally sent many months prior to being official candidates.

I had the same dilemma originally. I self reported my SAT scores when I first opened my portal. I decided to send in the official score report. My SAT scores were entered on my profile about two weeks later.
