Any good predictions on percentages and release dates for Field Training Selections?

Anything you hear would be a rumor as of now. I'm wondering if any other Dets asked their cadets about their max date preference? Ours did and it seemed really early. I hope that is a good sign at least.

The cadets were asked at my Det for their max preferences. Results are supposed to be on time this year.

I'm trying to keep my expectations low for the time being. On time means what? The 23rd?

I was told March 20th as well. Also this is just a rumor but I heard the selection rate is going to be upwards of 80%.

Can (unofficially) confirm 20 Mar from word amongst the regions. Rumors are rumors though, just look what happened the past two years lol. Selection % -- heard it'll be roughly the same as last year (50%?)

See....it's all rumor. The selection rate last year was 60% not 50%.

Lolz777, that 80% number is a complete guess. Nobody would know except for the board and they clearly have not came up with a number yet otherwise EAs would be out.

We all want EAs but right now there is nothing we can do. Do well on those midterms and enjoy your spring breaks!

Our detachment is having a dining out on the evening of the 20th. We're all hoping we will hear something that night, I'll keep everyone posted if we do.

Just to back up what others were saying, my Det was also told March 20th. But we were also told it's an optimistic time and to expect delays.

I would hope if they drop on the 20th than your unit will inform those not selected prior to the dining out so they could skip the function. if their intention is to announce it at the function those selected.

DSs unit called every cadet the night before @9 (released publicly on LLAB day). They were told to either show up at 0700 or 0730 that day. The 0700 were informed that they were not selected and did not have to attend LLAB that day. The 0730 were selected and during LLAB that afternoon they announced their names.
~~ This is common in the AF for promotion boards. Those not selected typically are told prior so they don't have to live the day with ....I am so sorry type comments. They want them to lick their wounds in private.

"Hope for the best, expect the worst"

80% is a large jump from the 60% last year, but it's not unbelievable. Don't count rumors out.

The only thing we've been told is to expect higher numbers for non-tech non-rated than last year's. We also just got asked our Max dates, so there's that as well. Don't know how early 200s/250s/500s last year got asked though so it might not mean much at all.
