De-lurking, thank you all for your insight and sharing your experiences. We are not alone in our unhealthy mailbox habits, lol!
I should be CO19? Was just looking at CO18 threads to see how many got appointment in March/April and typed it wrong, oops.
DS is a HS Sr has an MOC nom, but was told he is in the national pool, as his slate was filled. Anyone else told that and gotten a BFE or TWE?
good luckIt wasn't until I said this to my GF that I realized how true it is: stalking and posting to these forums and hearing from everyone has been helping my sanity. Sometimes it feels like the only news I can hear at this point is bad news, but then I read through these posts and remember I'm not the only one still on the roller coaster. This page is not only a question-answer page, but a support group, willing to take in anyone and listen and advise. Thank you to everyone and good luck tomorrow as mailbox stalking recommences.
My update is like many of yours: no news is good news. I'm waiting to hear from plan B(USMMA). My roommate received his TWE to USMA today, he's pretty bummed about that. At my school we've had 1 girl accepted to USAFA, USCGA, NROTC, and received a USNA prep slot(accepted USAFA); one boy accepted USNA over USAFA; another boy to USNA; and another to USMA. Seems like it's a lucky year to apply.. I'll keep everyone updated!

Just out of curiosity... why is it that USNA release denied letters at such a small rate?
Love the dog part! Hope it's plan A for you!Congrats Nollie! 2nd ride was the charm for many of you. I was both touched and floored when I was reading the stories from last year this time.
I think the lesson is have plan B and C ready to go and DS seeing those paths as a good ones.
We are in mailbox stalking for plan B and C too, since USNA is 1st choice, we couldn't use their binding early decisions. Financially Navy vs Plan B&C are huge difference since DS is planning on being a D1 athlete (not blue chip) and ROTC, D1 and Engineering are too much, in my opinion. He handles all the applications, but we need to manage the finances.
I trained the dog to bark when the mail truck comes.
I believe it's more around a quarter. The vast majority of those that have post-HS education are NAPS or Foundation. As far as regular college reapplicants go, only <100 total are appointed and roughly 70-80 accept. From what I understand, as a regular college applicant you are in your own category and are thus scored amongst your fellow college applicants. Once your WCS is given, then you're thrown in with your slate and the highest WCS wins the slot. Typically, college applicants are all viewed fairly quickly after deadline and, if the clear slate winner, notified fairly quickly. A classmate of mine and I were notified of appointment within 2-3 weeks of January deadline.I have seen stats that 1/3 of the entering class is reapplicants for USNA. Not sure if that includes Naps as they already applied once? But it does seem very tough to get in on the first try.
Congrats on a stellar plan B, but hoping Plan A all the way for you.Day 40 and counting. The only difference today was that I saw the mailman put a BE in our box. I ran to the box and it was an admission package for plan B. I know that getting accepted into Auburn is an accomplishment with a scholarship, but it seems second best.
Remember the old slogan, Navy it's not a job it's an adventure, will it has been one.
