Hi I am a AS 200 who has received a rated EA for Field Training this summer. I unfortunately did not pass the AFOQT and have to retake it to be able to go to Field Training. I passed every thing but the quantitative section. I know I need to have a score of a 10 or higher but how is that determined/how many questions do I need to get correct in the Math sections to attain this? Any help/advice would be amazing I really do not want to deffer Field Training. Thank you!

If my memory serves me correctly, AFOQT scoring is based on percentile, not number of questions right. That means scoring a 10 or higher requires scoring better than 10% of the people taking the test. The only advice I have is really just to go through an AFOQT study guide and practice, practice, practice. Refresh yourself on the types of problems the AFOQT tests you on (for me, that meant going back 2-3 years, since I hadn't taken a math class since junior year of high school) and practice them until you can do them quickly. The AFOQT is taxing not so much because of the questions asked, but because of the short time spans they give you to complete each section.
Im pretty sure you can go to FT without a passing AFOQT score. You just have to make sure that when you re-take it, once your eligible, that you pass it because you can only take it twice. And the scores are percentiles, meaning if you have a 12, you did better than 12% of those who took the AFOQT. If it makes you feel any better, there are about 9 cadets in my FTP class who failed but are going to FT this summer.
Now is that better than 10% of people taking it that day or that have taken the test ever. Also my Cadre told me I have to take it before FT

I don't know how often the periods are but I believe it is better than 10% of the people who took it within a certain time frame as you.
You do not have to take it before FT unless the regs changed, we had some not pass the first time, retake after FT. If my memory serves me right you have to wait a period (6mo.?) to retake it anyway, so depends on when you took it as well. Anyway it's a score based on percentile of those who have taken the test, like said above not just 10%. Just study the practice tests on the afoqt website and you should get that no problem.

We were also informed we had to take it and pass before being able to attend FT. I'm not sure if this is a nation-wide thing or not but that's what our cadre told us. We have a few cadets having to retake it as well, so they'll be doing that I believe in a few months. The literal wording was "you can get nominated, and you can receive a nomination, but you can't step onto that plane without a passing AFOQT score."
If I remember correctly, the reasoning behind it is they don't want to send cadets off to FT only to have them come back and fail their AFOQT and get dropped from the program, which would also explain why it was moved to the AS200 year and didn't remain at the AS300 year.
As far as the grading goes, when I took it we were told the percentages would be rack and stacked against everyone who took it that day. To elaborate on what Zero said:
If everyone but you got 19/20 questions correct on the math section, and you got 20/20, that would mean you scored in the 99%. Vice versa, if you scored 1/20 and everyone else scored 2/20 questions correct, you would only score in the 1%. You aren't graded based on number correct, but how many you got correct compared to your peers.
