Is no news good news?

I haven't heard anything yet from the USNA, when everyone else in my district that was nominated under my congressman has. At this point since it's almost April, is it looking like I have a chance?

When you say everyone has heard…how many is that and were they all offered appointments? My DS heard that 2 others who were also nominated in his district received the dreaded TWE. My DS has heard absolutely nothing and everyday the trip to the mailbox is met with relief that at least there is no TWE. I hope he finds out either way very, very soon…and you too! The waiting is so painful. Good luck!!

6 were nominated, one received a BFE 4 received TWE! And I wish the best of luck for your DS!! Thank you!
 
HS, how do you know what the others received?
 
I just found out today. Keep your head up and know that until you finally receive the TWE there is still a chance.

Too bad he was able to tell you what the outcomes were for everyone else---but he had no news for you? That's really tough...but as always, thankfully you're still in the game at this point! :) Please update us when you do find out and GOOD LUCK!!!
 
In the same boat here, aggravating over the unkown, but thankful and assuming that it's a good sign I haven't gotten a TWE yeat.
 
Still nothing here either. I was told one guy in my district got an offer, but I suspect it was a recruited athlete anyway.
 
All of these posts are so similar to last year about this time. In the words of a BGO from last year "no news, is no news." Many of us who were still waiting at this time last year waited until the final day (April 15) and received an email telling us we were wait listed. Some wait listed for USNA, others for NAPS. In my opinion,(based on last years posts) at this point they are waiting to see how many reject their offer to see if they have room for any more before they either wait list you or send you the TWE. On the up side, we did see postings of a few BFE's between the end of March and April 15 so hang in there!
 
I agree Nollie, it's like deja vu! Last year was so crazy, I hope that this year runs more smoothly for those still waiting. All the best!
 
To summarize, no, no news is not good news. Good news is good news. Bad news is bad news. No news is no news. Quit trying to read significance into every jot and tittle.

No news is not bad news, which is good news. Ease up Kinnem... Lots of anxious forum followers. :)
