I was awarded a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship in the first board this year. I was very surprised but happy nonetheless but I didn't know where I wanted to go to college. My top 3 schools were tentative and I was awarded an offer to all three of them, so I accepted it to the Univeristy of Scranton. I like the school, but I want to transfer my scholarship to Villanova University. I already submitted my statement and acceptance letter from Nova, but I just wanted to know how likely it would be to transfer it? Before I was awarded the schoalrship I tried to change my list but I couldn't because the board was in session (hopefully they will see that I tried to change my order before I knew of my scholarship). The difference in tution is only 5,000$ , please chance me is a transfer likely ?? Thank you!

I won't speculate on the transfer since its been a little too long for me since I was in that position, but on a side note you really should consider changing your username. I know we say it a lot and you might not think its a big deal, but from now on your name will forever be tied to this forum in public. You've given us name and where you are planning to go to school. You've done 75% of the work for anyone who may want to target US service members or their families on college campuses.

I mean the above respectfully, this is a very real and current threat not just an opportunity for me to nag you.

Hey man thanks so much. I'm going to delete this post and my account.

You can also just PM an admin (TacticalNuke) or a moderator, I'm not sure if they have those privileges though, and they can change your name and edit these posts.

Treat this forum (and your entire digital footprint) as if it is 100% public. 1) because nothing is private online, and 2) assume that more than just those loyal to the United States and her military read this forum.

I cannot delete my account or change my name at my own will?

i think you can delete your account, but you can't change your own username. An admin can change your name and remove info from this thread that you request. It will save you from creating a new account

I didn't intend to completely derail your thread, my bad.

That's ok I really appreciate you looking out for me. Coming from a military family it kinda is hard to comprehend that people would want to hurt me or them. I am trying to find a way to delete my account now

Nobody can tell the likelihood of transfer because nobody knows what Cadet Command will do. My suggestion is to follow the scholarship transfer instructions in the paperwork that was mailed to you. Also, contact the ROO at Villanova and discuss your intentions. Then be prepared to wait for an official answer.
