What exactly is going to happen on the 15th? Are we going to get an email or a phone call about our status?
 
Everything is by mail. USNA tries to make sure everyone recieves their final status by April 15, however the first time I applied my TWE got stuck in the mail until after April 20th. You can contact your RD on April 15 and they should be able to tell you tour final status.

Just to be clear your final status might not be known. You may be waitlisted or even an unknown. The unknown could be because you are the NWL and they are still racking and stacking that total. For 99% of candidates they will know if they are appointed, TWE, or waitlisted. But, there were a few last year whose wait went a few weeks longer. More than likely you will know by the 15th, if its a unique case usually BGOs can help find out why or Admissions officer can tell you what is going on.

Do you know if people are more likely to hear about a TWE rather than an appointment on the 15th?
 
Probably because their are more TWEs to hand out than BFEs at this point. So statistically speaking, I would say yes. No one knows if the NWL has been completed and BFEs sent out yet, so there could be a big chunk left to mail. My suspicion, and I have no fact to back this, is the NWL will be coming in the next few weeks. So we could possibly see a group of BFEs to come. Push forward, hope for the best and prepare for Plan B, its the only thing you can do. Best of luck.

I was notified of my NAPS waitlist offer on April 15th via email. The letter containing this information didn't come until a week or so later.
