Contacting a different ALO

On Thursday at 12:04 PM I sent an email to the ALO assigned to my high school. In the email I ask a question about how a summer class I take will be looked at by the academy. The answer to this question could potentially impact the classes I choose to take next year. I have a meeting with my counselor this Monday to talk about the classes I should take next year so it is kind of important that I get an answer before Monday. I know ALOs are volunteers and that they are often busy people and that I can't expect to get an instant response, but is it ok if I contact an ALO assigned to a different school and ask them my question?

I suggest waiting for an answer from your ASSIGNED ALO. Eventually he/she will get back to you. (Not sure if you called him but if not, you should. This is probably the quickest way to get a hold of him/her.)

Like you said your most ALOs are busy with other people and their lives, so why burden another ALO who doesn't have you as a responsibility. Good Luck.

My ALO only has his email listed, where do I find his phone number?

If you can't find the phone number for the ALO assigned to your school, PM me...I can get it for you.

But as was said...be a bit patient and understanding...MOST ALO's have different jobs; many are commercial pilots and are on the road for 3-5 days before they get home to deal with ALO jobs.

DS attempted over 20 different contacts with his listed ALO, once a month for an 18 month period. First email, then snail mail then 5 phone calls. Not one response or reply. He manged to achieve an appointment without the assistance or guidance of an ALO. The non-responsive ALO was eventually replace about 90 days before BCT. DS's first contact with an ALO was for his tattoo inspection which was conducted via email. My point is, you can do it without an ALO.
