Just another thread for people to talk on while they wait for their decisions.

Questions: How did your appointee tour go and did you enjoy it? What were the goods, bads, and uglies?

My personal answer: From an Appointee's perspective and not a parents, I really enjoyed myself on the April 3rd tour. We started out in a briefing where they just kind of broke some info down and then I got to shadow a C3C. He took me to an MSS class and there was maybe ten students in there. The teacher was funny and I learned how to wrote footnotes. Then we went to a shopette (for nonmilitary people, its an aafes little convenience store. On bases and posts they're usually gas stations) and had a snack and he asked us questions and answered our questions. He explained a basic academic schedule and then it was off to Russian. The class was almost completely in Russian so I was a little lost but the teacher was super nice. She talked to me and the other appointee a bit and then we just sort of observed. After that was lunch which we did not have at Mitch's. I was disappointed but watching the lunch formation was awesome. And then it was another briefing about basic and athletics and we saw the athletic facilities. I think that was my favorite part. They were so beautiful I just wanted to stop and work out. After that there was a baseball fame but my father and I didn't stay for that. I thought the tour was a really good experience. The only thing I didn't like was not getting to see the dorms but my dad did and he took pictures. My dad took lotssssss of pictures. I guess what cadet you are with will determine what you see.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I signed up to lead a tour later this month, so it's good to know what to expect.
