Happy Monday and good luck to all who wait. Maybe this will be THE week!! Be kind when stalking the mail carriers. Remember, they are carrying all of our kids' good news. :shake:

:) I feel USPS vibes from USMMA (supposedly something is in the mail),
but CGA is still at Pending/Review for medical on the DODmerb site.

got my fingers crossed for everyone......

We "lost" 3 weeks and it amazes me that the end of Feb is nigh.

We had the stomach "flu" resulting in littlest one requiring hospitalization for dehydration and husband having to travel to The Big City (Atlanta) to rescue the two oldest who were there when it hit. It felled all 8 of us like dominoes -- one right after the other. What a nightmare --- a beastly thing it was!

Next, all four wisdom teeth cut out for darling son aspiring to USCGA followed by tonsilotomy, adenoidectomy, miringotomy, bronchioscopy, and laryngoscopy for littlest son... followed by re-hospitalization for respiratory distress, resulting in 3 day stay, followed by ANOTHER re-hospitalization for respiratory distress Part II... followed by gastro surgery for the Granddad whom we care for... and somewhere along the line there the refrigerator died and we had to replace it and all the food we lost. All this led us right up to the day when we took darling son to Charleston for the Honors Program interview and whew! I needed a long, L O N G nap. THEN, someone lost a permanent tooth... just when I thought we were getting back on our feet.

Last thing I knew it was January. I have emerged from the fire, refined by God I hope, and have looked around to find that it is Spring in South Carolina and ALMOST time to hear some GOOD GOOD NEWS!

Good luck friend. May the mailman bring you good news from USMMA.

Maybe this will be THE week!!

I hope so! The walk to the post office isn't that bad, but every time we get a large white envelope and it ends up being a calendar or a book, that's the killer :yllol:

On a related note: I recieved my qualification from DoDMERB today, February 23(thanks Mr. Mullen!), and my admissions status date from CGA also changed to 23 February. Is this regular when one recieves qualification, could it just be a hiccup, or is it something more signifigant?

Whoo Hoo!!

I think good news may be on its way...from what I remember, the admission status change can mean that something is going on with your application.
Fingers crossed for you! My son's still says Aug 21 2008. Sigh....
Good luck!!

no one will seem to confirm WHAT the change of date means... BUT.. this is a big BUT.. I know that my daughter's status from USMMA changed 2/19, and that is the day letters of some kind were sent from USMMA (this I know for a fact).. SOOOOO if there is a change there I would assume the CGA has changed your status from candidate to something else.

Like this: ??
Agency: US Merchant Marine Academy
Admission Status Change Date: 19-FEB-2009 <<(something at USMMA regarding her candidate status caused this change)
Current Medical Status: Medical waiver granted (as of 10-FEB-09 )<<(this change happened when the waiver was granted)
-----
CGA still shows the date her 1st part of her application was submisted:
Agency: US Coast Guard Academy
Admission Status Change Date: 22-AUG-2008
Current Medical Status: Pending Waiver Submission/Review (as of 19-FEB-09 )

I'll be sweating it out for a while, I assume. Mail takes forever to get here

Status change dates

Hold on!! My deferred son's DoDMERB status has changed three times recently. The first day was the last week in January, then Feb. 3, and now Feb 23rd. While I hope this is great news in the very near future for all of us, I'm not sure how much the change really means. I'm trying to delay stalking tactics until at least the first week of March, so this is my story and I'm sticking to it:shake:

start stalking BUT give it a couple of days!!!!!!! here is to good news!!!WOOO HOOOOO

You all are right, we ARE due for some good news, but you know...

we truly are refined by the fire. I felt a bit scorched over the last few weeks, and believe me, my husband and darling kids did too, but know that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.

Thank you for your empathy and well wishes!

could a change status of the date for uscga mean a letter saying thanks, but no offer?? my son's dodmerb page shows a change on uscga date - dodmerb info and date remain the same.
