Naval Acdemy Club worth joing?

We originally did not join but likely will in time for our Plebes youngster year. I have heard lots of good things about it on the parent facebook pages.

We joined our states Navy parents' club for my son's plebe year. They had some odd multi-level marketing fundraising thing with a company that is involved in multiple class action lawsuits-which I did not like. We did not rejoin after plebe year. YMMV.

Opinions?
Assume you mean the Parents Club in your state? If so, it'll vary by state. Some states have more than one club due to the number of mids in the state, some clubs are very active and do a lot to support the mids (Maryland and New Jersey feed the brigade every home football game), some might not be what you're expecting (Vista's perhaps). Ours is great--wish more people would join as we are very focused on supporting mids, parents and USNA and the parents have been great. If you're talking about the Officer's Club on the Yard or the Alumni Association, that's a different conversation.

My DH and I have been in the Annapolis Parent's Club of So CA since our Mid was a plebe. They have been a great resource to our family all four years. We have had excellent speakers at our dinners which has allowed us to gain more information about the fleet. We have also made friends with many families from our part of the state. We are looking forward to another four years with our parent club as DS's little sister will be joining the class of 2019. If you are a parent of a new plebe for 2019 definitely look into joining your local club! Go Navy.... Beat Army!;)

We have had some great buffets, breakfasts and dinners at the Club. You don't have to join to make a reservation. Special occasions and functions are member only. Great place, great food and wonderful service.

I was talking about the officers club on the yard.

Depends--are you local enough that you would be able to take advantage of the cost of joining? You can eat lunch there without being a member--check it out and see what you think.
