Has there been any numbers released regarding the number of applicants from early admission on the wait list?

Thanks for your help!

My son is also on the wait list. He had a great championship swim meet recently. He would be a strong addition to CGA for distance swimming. I checked the results and he would have placed 6th at NEWMAC in his event, actually. My boy has a full scholarship to his Plan B school, so he has other good prospects, but his dream is CGA. With no word, it is more stressful than exciting right now. We'll see.

Approximately 100 Early Action applicants are currently on the wait list and another 50 Regular Admission applicants will be offered a spot on the wait list at midnight EDT tonight.

On average, how many of the wait listed candidates get an offer? I Imagine admissions calculates a certain amount to ensure a full class, but not sure what the data shows from previous years.

Here's what Objee posted last year on March 9th, 2014. I didn't find where the number receiving appointments from last year was updated, but perhaps you can at least determine a historic trend.

Class of 2014 - Approximately 640 Alternates, 64 Appointments (Wait List did not exist)
Class of 2015 - Approximately 480 Alternates, 54 Appointments (Wait List did not exist)
Class of 2016 - Approximately 100 Wait List, 26 Appointments
Class of 2017 - Approximately 125 Wait List, 43 Appointments
Class of 2018 - Approximately 150 Wait List, XX Appointments

If you believe that you can "deduce" from this data how many appointments will be offered to applicants on the wait list this year, you're welcome to do so; however, I say again it's going to depend upon: 1) How many appointments are tendered during Regular Admission; and 2) How many applicants offered appointments during Early Action/Regular Admission decline their spot in the class.

Piecing things together, from various places on this forum:
For 2019:
EA Appointments - 171 (let's call it 180); EA Waitlist - 100; RA Waitlist - 50; Enrollment goal - 280; Total appointments to be offered - fewer than 350.

Appointments available to Regular Admissions + Wait List: 350-180=170.
Appointments available to Wait List: 170-(RA Appointments)=???

Any numbers available yet for 2019 RA appointments?

Don't forget that 30-40 appointments (approximately, from historical data) will go to those who have successfully completed the scholars program (CGAS). Another few will be those that originally were appointed to the Class of 2018, but for some unfortunate reason (medical, etc.) were deferred to the Class of 2019.

The 2019 Appointments list has been quiet - is anybody from the waitlist receiving appointments yet?

Still waiting...

Do they let everyone on the waitlist know if they will not be getting an appointment? if so when will they know by?

May 1st is taking forever to get here! Can anyone provide an update on when the wait list review board might meet?

I think it was May 8th when I got my appointment last year. Hang in there yall.

Last day to accept an offer! hoping their is some room in the Scholar Program for my Coast Guard Reserve Son....

Good luck, @johnmac42 . My son is also still on the CGAS Waitlist, but has accepted his appointment to USAFA. His dream. My heart was holding out for CGA.

Fingers doubly crossed @johnmac42 . When my oldest was waitlisted the first time, he got notified of non-selection on June 6th. I hope you are not in limbo for that long.
