I have a question regarding repeat classes, I've asked a few people at my det, but I got a few different answers.

If I repeat a class, am I still considered full-time? Or do I have to take 12 additional credits, along with the repeat class? I've been told a few different things. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I would like to retake some courses from when I first started college years ago, as they are whats making my GPA be lower than it should be.

It will make you a full time student, but the credit of the retaken class will not count toward your degree. If you're taking three 4 credit classes and one of them of a repeat, you're still taking 12 credits. Making you a full time student. Two examples:

If you got an F in a 4 credit Calculus and retook it and received an A, you will not get those 4 credits but it will change your GPA.

If you got a C- in Accounting and you need a C to move onto the next Accounting class, you will retake it and if you get a C or higher it will change your GPA. You still received credit for the C-, however. So this will only change your GPA.

They average the grades out. The new grade will count at my school, but my rotc gpa will be different, correct?

ROTC will count the average grade. They will take the credits and grade you have on your semester transcript at face value. At my university we have a forgiveness program that erases the poorer grade for a repeated course but AFROTC just counts both attempts.
