From the Commandant's Facebook page: "Excited to welcome over 900 freshmen to Aggieland tomorrow to become part of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets! Freshman Orientation Week (FOW) starts tomorrow [Wednesday 19 Aug] at 8 am, and the staff and cadre are ready to start the 2015-2016 school year for our Corps as over 900 fish in process at Duncan Dining Hall in the morning. Welcome to the Corps of Cadets Class of 2019! Its going to be a great year for our Corps - the 140th year of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M!"

Outstanding. As you are beginning to find out, Aggies are a unique breed, and the Corps kids, just a bit more-so. My best wishes to your Fish, and to the Knobs, Rats, Plebes, Rooks, and others entering the sundry Senior Military Colleges, State Maritime schools, federal academies, and ROTC programs around the country.
 
Between 725 and 750 reported to knobie-land (not sure of the exact count). Good luck to all reporting for the beginning ..... Stay Strong, Stand Tall, Stay Focused, Stay Straight...

@Lawman32RPD, you left off UNG's frogs.

Speaking of frogs, 186 frogs reported to the University of North Georgia's Fall 2015 FROG week.
181 graduated, resulting in 758 cadets+cadet-recruits beginning the 2015-16 academic year. There will be another FROG Week in January. Many of those soon-to-be frogs are at BASIC and AIT now or will be leaving for BASIC in the next month.
 
495 Rats, Class of 2016+3, reported to VMI for matriculation last Saturday, 22 Aug 2015. Class starts 1 Sep.

Well, I shouldn't have. I'm glad that you remedied that oversight.
 
SMC's what do we have Knobs (The Citadel), Rats (Rats), Fish (TAM), Frogs (NG) What are the other two SMC's, Norwich and VT. recruits refered to as?
 
The Citadel matriculated 678; 100 less than last year but good news because of lower upperclass attrition. Corps strength is now just under 2,300.

So less than normally reported... any idea why less lower class attrition? I have a theory but would probably not be politically correct to state it here I guess??? A little hint though... outside political pressure. Does anyone know if knob year really exits anymore.....
