So I thought that Senator Warner's nomination application said that I could send a screen shot of my SAT scores and it would be okay, but it was actually Congressman Connolly...
I sent the screenshot and I got an email saying that my SAT score was received but I need to send a copy of the receipt that indicates that I sent the scores to Senator Warner's office. I'm not sure what to do right now... Someone please give me some advice. Look, I know this is last minute. Please don't lecture me about how I need to be more responsible.. I know I messed up );

Call their office during business hours, explain the mistake, and ask if you can send them. Just be honest, explain what happened. Most are going to be understanding and help you.

Go to your account on the College Board website. There is a button, can't remember exactly where, that you can click that says See Sent Scores. Hopefully you can print off the report that lists when you sent them. Was just looking at this today. Good luck!

The thing is, I never sent the scores through the college board website. I sent them a screen shot of my scores. But I'm confused because I got an email from the office saying that they've received my scores... But I need to provide a copy of a receipt to prove I sent them.. but I didn't send them.

Oh....that's another story. You can pay for expedited service. I believe it's $30 or so. What is your deadline??

It's tomorrow. I already know about all of that. It is just that I thought that I could send the screen shot of my scores because I got him confused with Congressman Connolly, but I just found out that I couldn't. It's probably too late to do anything about it.... right?

Call the College Board first thing in the morning. Explain the situation and ask if there is any way to have them fax/email/electronically send tomorrow. Beg, plead and escalate if necessary.....be super polite and start off with "I really need your help". Good luck and please update us....

I will try that.... Thank you!

Yep, call both the College Board and your Senator's office to explain the situation and try to resolve it.

...once you have done that to the best of your abilities, relax. You'll have done all you can do at that point.

If I am reading this correctly, what they are saying is that although they have the scores, they are not an official score. Think of it like them saying they want a SEALED transcript, but you sent an unsealed transcript. They have no way to prove you didn't tamper with it somehow since it was not sealed.

I would also suggest you go to your GC as soon as you get to school. If you stated your HS when you signed up they should immediately get the scores too from College board that they place in your official transcript
~ I know we had an issue sim. to yours for college admissions, and they accepted the scores being faxed directly from the HS, but not directly from us. Mainly because the HS has two things: 1. The school cover letter with the GCs name contact for verification. 2. The fax will appear with something like PW county Potomac HS printed on it at the top with a time stamp, like your phone with caller ID.

Of course see if the MoC will accept this too.

For lurkers and future candidates the take away from this is although it is easy to do the electronic scores, always request that hard copy too so if you come up to something like this you can fax them.
~ Also create hard copy files for each aspect of this process (USAFA, MOC, ROTC), including printing up all email correspondence (computers can crash).
~~ We probably had 5 files going when DS1 was a senior, because we also had a DoDMERB file and a college application file.

Basically everything was in print and typically it will have a direct number/person to contact if you have any questions.

I wish you the best. The only hope I can truly give you, is that it appears you are okay with Warner. VA spreads their wealth, you will be lucky for 1 nom to 1 SA in VA. Connolly is a very competitive district, so if you don't get a nomination, do not assume you are out of the running. Warner's office will coordinate with Connolly's to make sure you are not on their slate.

I am sure your stomach is in knots, but Raimius is correct, once you have done everything to the point there is nothing more you can do, than you just have to sit back and wait.

My son, who got sen Warner nomination last year, mentioned they accept unofficial ACT/SAT transcripts, so, unless it changed from the last year, as others said, go to collegeboard, download PDF or whatever electronic version you can get, and send it, and follow up after.

I'd check with the Senator's office to see if that's sufficient. PDFs can be doctored too. What is probably more important here is the source of the data, not the data itself (they already have that).

Here's what you do -- call the Congressman's office. Tell them your mistake and say that you are willing to give them your username/password to your SAT scores so they can download them. Once they've done that, change your password.

My DD had to do this when she retook the ACT and scored significantly higher. The deadline was within a day or two so sending them wouldn't work. She stayed on the phone while he logged in and downloaded. Most committees are willing to work with you on this.

Also, should you get an interview with the congressman's committee, you can always give them your official scores at that time.

UPDATE:
Everything was fine, I just sent them a screenshot of my receipt saying that my scores are on the way.
My nomination application is complete and all I need to do is wait to hear back from them about the interview.
Thank you to those of you who gave advice!
